The World's Most Expensive Dry Hole!!!

Writer's picture: 1st Subsurface Team1st Subsurface Team

The Mukluk well off the north coast of Alaska had high expectations but turned out to be the most expensive dry hole in history!

What went wrong and how much did it cost?

Here we walk through the well, the target, why it cost so much and why it was dry alongside Colin Percival, who worked as a geologist on the well when it drilled.

Our thanks go to Colin for his time and help in making this video!
